Lexington Pharmaceuticals changes name to TRACON Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Lexington Pharmaceuticals announced that it has changed its name to TRACON Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and has moved the company from New York, New York to San Diego, California. Bert Liang, President and CEO, noted, “The name TRACON – an acronym for TaRgeted Approach and Control in ONcology – is where we derive our mission and objectives. The development of targeted novel and efficacious therapies is the cornerstone of the goals and objectives of our firm.” Moreover, he added, “Our rationale for the move to San Diego revolved around the biotechnology environment and talent in Southern California. There are over 300 biopharma companies here, which provides an excellent milieu for development stage companies, such as TRACON.”
